A few things about me:

  • I am a retired educator with 30 years of experience, and I really enjoy working as a math and science tutor. I have an engineering degree and a teaching degree that allow me to easily relate curriculum concepts to real-life examples.
  • With humour and heart, I work hard to make numbers fun and accessible for all students.
  • As a former gifted student and a parent of a child who faced challenges in math and science, I understand the unique needs of neurodivergent learners, and I provide insights from both student and parent perspectives.
  • In addition to my passion for math and science, I am an avid astronomy enthusiast.
  • I have served as a co-president of the Nanaimo Astronomy Society and I loved doing school outreach to help both adults and students appreciate the wonders of space and science.
  • I live in Nanaimo with my wife, two grown kids and our two adorable dogs.

I look forward to working with you!
